Komodo Island Video
Komodo is one of the 17,508 islands that make up the Republic of Indonesia. The island has a surface area of 390 km² and over 2000 inhabitants. The inhabitants of the island are descendants of former convicts who were exiled to the island and who have mixed themselves with the Bugis from Sulawesi. The population are primarily adherents of Islam but there are also Christian and Hindu minorities.
Komodo is part of the Lesser Sunda chain of islands and forms part of the Komodo National Park. Particularly notable here is the native Komodo dragon. In addition, the island is a popular destination for diving. Administratively, it is part of the East Nusa Tenggara province.

Ada tiga besar pulau yang berada di lingkungan Taman Nasional Komodo yaitu pulau Komodo, Rinca, dan Padar serta beberapa yang lebih kecil, dengan total luas 1.817 kilometer persegi (603 km persegi terdiri dari daratan).
Taman nasional ini didirikan pada tahun 1980 untuk melindungi komodo. Kemudian, hal itu juga ditujukan untuk melindungi spesies lain, termasuk hewan laut.

A profile of the Sumbawa horse. They called it Sumbawa because it originated from the islands of Sumbawa, East Nusa Tenggara Province. They are small in size and for a glance resembles an oversize donkey. These horses are heavily used to bring tourist from the Hindu temple, 400 meters away, to the foot of the 450-step stairs of the crater. khatulistiwa info

Jaringan Madu Hutan Sumbawa (jmhs) bersama Jaringan Madu Hutan Dunia, pada pertemuan di India memasukkan Madu Hutan Sumbawa ke dalam ensiklopedia madu dunia yang diterbitkan oleh salah satu lembaga yang bermarkas di Manila.
Pada pertemuan dengan Jaringan Madu Hutan Indonesia di Pekanbaru, Riau. JMHS telah mengusulkan sebanyak 17 program yang berkaitan dengan Madu dan Pelestarian Hutan yang akan direalisasikan di wilayah Kabupaten Sumbawa. khatulistiwa info
